The Rudy A Menon Foundation along with the other GC Global Family Foundations are extremely proud to have awarded three flash grants at the GC Global Conference, held in London in September 2025.
This was the first of its kind to coincide with the 10th year of the biennial conference. From a total of eight applications submitted and presented at the conference, an expert scientific panel short listed four. The families then came together to fund three of them. Though the initial objective was to award only one grant for $100,000, given the significant impact these different research projects could make in finding a cure for GC, the family foundations rallied together and committed a total funding of $300,000 across three grants. The chosen projects were:
1. IMPACT-GC – Dr. Mara Vinci, Bambino Gesu Children's Hospital, Rome, Italy.
2. IMMUNO-SPREAD – Dr. Mariette E.G. Kranendonk & Dr. Dannis G. van Vuurden, Princess Maxima Center, Utrecht, Netherlands.
3. Toward a Multimodal Atlas of Glioma Diffuseness – Dr. Jeffrey Greenfield, Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, USA.
Congratulations to the winners and we are extremely excited to see the progress that these projects will bring!
