Who We Are

Vidhu Menon is the Chair of the Board and a Trustee of the Rudy A Menon Foundation. She has successfully organized multiple fundraising campaigns internationally, as well as in the UK. Vidhu has published two coffee table books and is a passionate supporter of the arts. She works with international foundations to organize global conferences on GC and other inoperable brain cancers, both in Europe and the USA.

Somnath Menon is the Finance Committee Chair and a Trustee of the Rudy A Menon Foundation. A career banker for over 40 years, having worked in many geographies as a Board member and advisor to technology companies. Som is passionate about traveling and learning from different cultures.

Arjun Menon is the Chair of the Communications Committee and Chair of the Youth Council. He is also a member of the Finance Committee and a Trustee. He is a qualified chartered accountant (ACA) and chartered financial analyst (CFA), with over 10 years of experience in the finance sector.

Subita Mahtani heads up the Corporate Fundraising Committee and is actively involved with events, fundraising, promoting the Foundation and raising awareness of GC. She is also a Trustee of the Foundation. She is a counselor by profession and works with NSPCC Childline as a counseling supervisor

Rosanna Menon is the Chair of the Social Media Committee, focusing on fundraising and creating awareness of GC. She is also a Youth Council Committee member. She has more than 10 years of experience working in finance and is currently an investment banker for a large European bank.

Henrica Stjernvall is the Board secretary and on the Newsletter committee. Henrica brings her expertise to the Board having served on several Non-profit organization boards while residing in Belgium, Korea, Poland and Austria. Henrica has a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration.

Lavinia Davenport, as Newsletter Editor-in-Chief, records the story and history of the Foundation - its hopes and dreams. In the 90's she edited the UK Foreign Office magazine for spouses and has participated in charity outreach from womens’ prison work in Serbia to orphanages in Egypt. She is affiliated to the FCDO/OSCE.

Asha Pai Sethi is the Fundraising Chair for the foundation. She has been a community volunteer for the last four decades in India, Australia, Japan and London. She has been on the board of Hands in Tokyo, and also on the board of the Lily Foundation in London and has successfully organized fundraising campaigns across the globe for these organizations.

Neera Sarna, as a member of the fundraising events committee, supports Asha and Subita in planning events. Her years of experience in running a small business are proving very valuable in the organization of fundraising events for the Foundation.

Minal Kalyanpur, as the Chair of the Global Donation Funding committee, focuses on funding throughout the year through various channels across the world, be it with individuals or organizations. On a personal level she is co-founder and co-owner of an established group of companies in the United Arab Emirates.

Nandini Singh is a practicing life and relationship coach. She is on the Board of Tamanna, running schools for special needs children in India. She also supports Sakshi, an advocacy organization that helps prevent abuse against victims of domestic violence. She has lived & spearheaded fundraisers & cultural events in the USA, Romania, Nigeria, China & India.

Danielle Stjernvall serves as a member of the Board of the Rudy A Menon Foundation, where she is committed to fundraising efforts and raising awareness of GC. She has spent most of her career in Cybersecurity at JP Morgan, with extensive experience in leading Security Engineering teams to protect the bank, their customers, and critical assets from evolving cyber threats. Beyond her professional work, Danielle is passionate about giving back to the community. She has been actively involved in philanthropic initiatives such as the JP Morgan Schools Challenge, a programme aimed at mentoring students across London. India.

Sonia Arora Shimali has been actively involved with the Rudy A Menon Foundation in Kuwait over the past decade, helping to raise awareness of its mission and secure essential funding to support its research. She relocated to Kuwait from the UK over 30 years ago, where she has built a successful career in brand management. Working in a dynamic international environment, she has developed strong strategic, commercial, and relationship-management skills, alongside a deep understanding of the local community and business landscape.
