In October 2025, we had the privilege of celebrating the achievement of Shauna Crampsie as she was awarded her PhD at the iconic Guild Hall in the City of London. She is the first PhD student of the Rudy A Menon PhD Studentship program and her thesis on Gliomatosis Cerebri, a rare and inoperable brain cancer, is not only ground-breaking, but vital for advancing understanding of this rare condition. This incredible first could not have been possible without her supervisor Prof Chris Jones of The Institute of Cancer Research.

Such moments highlight the importance of academic dedication and the potential impact of research on future continued studies. None of this would have been possible without the hard work of our Board at RAMF as well as the supporters of the Foundation.

Congratulations Dr Shauna Crampsie, your hard work will surely pave the way forward!
